Miss MAAF: a brand voice

 

At the heart of an era in which digitalisation is redefining interactions, MAAF, armed with its rich history and aware of the importance of its voice signature, has embarked on an ambitious project with Voxygen in 2022: to digitise its brand voice, which has been used for decades on various channels, so that the natural voice and the digital voice can coexist.

For MAAF, the voice is not just a simple communication tool, but a sound imprint that conveys the company's image and values. MAAF's TTS voice was already unified across a number of channels - voice-over, radio, television, and on the interactive voice server. Switching to a digital voice was a natural progression in order to respond to new uses while providing responsiveness and cost optimisation. With the creation of the Miss MAAF digital voice, MAAF was also looking for a way to ensure the longevity of this voice footprint.

Our partnership was initiated on solid foundations, Covéa having already validated the quality of our work and our solutions on the GMF project. 

The voice creation project began with a co-construction phase, based on workshops and regular exchanges in which the MAAF and Voxygen teams worked closely together to determine the characteristics of the digital voice and the business data base.  
The recording of the actress embodying the highly professional voice of Miss MAAF went smoothly, with MAAF's Marketing and Communications referents involved from day one to ensure that the voice captured was an authentic reflection of the brand's established vocal identity.

The weekly updates and good responsiveness were key to the success of the project, ensuring that exchanges flowed smoothly and that Voxygen took meticulous account of MAAF's feedback, including during the acceptance phase.

MAAF's internal feedback on the quality of the voice was very positive. In addition, analysis of the exchanges on the voicebot showed that customers sometimes had the illusion of a conversation with a human interlocutor, underlining the quality of the Miss MAAF digital voice.

MAAF recommends Voxygen for its expertise in speech synthesis and brand voice creation.

The collaboration between MAAF and Voxygen, characterised by its efficiency, constructive nature and friendly atmosphere, has been a technological and human adventure. It has resulted in a solution that not only meets the technical and aesthetic criteria but has also strengthened MAAF's sound identity in a world of constant digital evolution. The voice is deployed on the insurance company's IVRs and voicebots.
